PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the operational backbone of the salon—ensuring smooth, organized, and efficient daily operations
  • Lead with emotional intelligence and sound judgment, making thoughtful decisions under pressure and with autonomy
  • Manage scheduling, assist in inventory, and ordering to support both team productivity and client experience
  • Oversee retail, supplies, and back-of-house organization with strong attention to detail
  • Support front desk operations (minimum 3 full shifts/week) and model exceptional client service
  • Manage communication across phone, email, and text alongside the front desk team
  • Support membership and retail sales through client interactions

LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and support the front desk team with accountability, clarity, and consistency
  • Conduct regular team touchpoints to review performance, attendance, and growth
  • Step in as Manager on Duty, ensuring operations and client experience run seamlessly when leadership is not present
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, inventory, leadership) to support promotions, budgeting, and education
  • Bring a creative, forward-thinking, and collaborative mindset to support business growth

OPERATIONS & SYSTEMS

  • Utilize multiple systems and platforms to stay organized, proactive, and efficient
  • Create and manage the monthly schedule, including time-off requests and shift coverage
  • Perform daily schedule audits to optimize productivity
  • Complete monthly operations audits and manage facility/maintenance requests
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment

EXPECTATIONS

  • Thrive in a structured, systems-oriented environment with strong follow-through
  • Remain active and engaged throughout the full shift (standing, moving, multitasking)
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 15 lbs and supporting daily operations
  • Available to work 5 days per week, including days, evenings

INTENTION: To provide the highest level of guest service, professionalism, and business skill through exceeding the expectation of every client, team member, & executive team member of Glow.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Represent Glow by employing a welcoming manner in receipt of phone calls & in person.
  • Ensure highest level of guest service for increased productivity.
  • To continue education and improve skills on all product lines and procedures.
  • Responsible for maximum guest satisfaction, guest retention, and new guest recruitment.
  • Achieving sales goals & supporting the team in attaining goals.
  • Participate in all Glow events, functions & meetings.
  • Utilize & maintain guest database for phone calls, mailings, & events.
  • Become proficient in answering phones, salon software, scripts and services offered.
  • Ensure consistent experience & efficient service to all guests.
  • Learn & continually educate yourself on all product knowledge.
  • Promote & utilize product knowledge.
  • Continue education on sales, and business skills.
  • Communicate all guest challenges to management team within 24 hours.
  • Ensure all marketing tools are used efficiently and effectively within given time frame.
  • Present a positive attitude toward company, product, & staff.
  • Lead by example providing guests with prebooking, offering referral cards, promoting events, & product, as well as passing out of business cards.
  • Become proficient & service guest by performing Value Added Services.
  • Perform designated housekeeping duties as listed in the daily book.
  • Present a well-groomed, fashionable appearance in dress, hairstyle & makeup, positive and attractive image.
  • Know all pricing & service policies.
  • Adhere to all company policies & procedures set forth in the Employee Handbook.

  • Perform designated housekeeping duties. This includes, but not limited to:
  • Laundry, cleaning employee room, Airbrush rooms, esthetic rooms and common areas
  • Follow all guidelines set forth in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Present a well-groomed, fashionable appearance in dress, hairstyle & make-up, positive and attractive salon image. For detailed description please see Team Member Handbook
  • Offer every service and product the salon has available per the quality standards established by management.
  • Maintain acceptable level of cleanliness of equipment as required by law and Massachusetts Board of Cosmetology Standards.
  • Participate in one on one coaching sessions, salon and company meetings and training.
  • Continually upgrade abilities trough education and training made available.
  • Know all pricing and service policies of the salon.
